Breakfast and Lunch Free for All District Students This Year

For the 2026-2027 School Year, Lawrence County School District is excited to announce that ALL meals for ALL students will be served FREE OF CHARGE!

These free meals are made possible by the Provision II Amendment to the Free and Reduced Price Policy of the MS Dept. of Education Office of Child Nutrition. 2026-2027 will be considered the "Base Year" for free meals. This year’s data will determine the district's eligibility for receiving free meals in future years. 

So what can you do to help ensure meals remain free?

-EVERY district family should complete the Free and Reduced Meal Application for this year when registering your child(ren) for school. 

-Emphasize to your children the importance that EVERY child go through the breakfast and lunch lines EVERY SCHOOL DAY and receive their meals.
